Rowena Nursery SChool
Yvonne has worked with Rowena Nursery School since 2011, delivering regular Gaelic Colourstrings sessions. She has also delivered blocks of music and movement sessions for children and has led staff inservice workshops on creative music making in the early years.
"Yvonne is an inspiring artist who has motivated both children and staff at Rowena Nursery School for many years, sharing her musical & dance talents with us.
Yvonne has delivered first class staff training in Music and Movement to the staff team and this made us modify our practice with positive outcomes for all. She is a highly organised and calm practitioner with innovative ideas.
As a trained ballet dancer, Yvonne used her skills in teaching and ballet to deliver a cohesive programme of music and movement to our children. This was then extended by an inspired staff team supported by Yvonne.
Within our Gaelic class Yvonne also delivers the ‘Colourstrings’ programme to our children on a weekly basis. Their progress and confidence in their musical ability has been remarkable. Our parents love it!"
