One example of training is Music on the Move. This interactive music training session will give ideas to encourage children to get moving and dancing, incorporating songs and rhymes to develop movement, body awareness, coordination and social skills. It is a practical session which will include songs, rhymes, musical games and movement activities specifically for children in the early years. Participants will also be encouraged to put their existing skills to use, looking at creative ways of developing already-known repertoire.
Music on the Move is intended for participants who wish to develop confidence and skills for musical activities. These fun sessions are supported by comprehensive hand-outs that cover all the course material.
During recent training, 100% of participants agreed that this course was useful and relevant to their Early Years role, and said that they intend to take forward aspects of this course to help improve practice in their setting.
